Curated by Michelle Chen of Art for Future, “Between Classical and Modern” was an international art exhibition held in Milan, Italy, in summer 2026. Co-organized by Art for Future and HOAA Design Center, the exhibition showcased student artwork exploring the relationship between classical traditions and contemporary expression.
Through her curatorial work, Michelle brought young artists’ perspectives into a shared exhibition, giving their creative voices a platform to reach an international audience. The project reflected Art for Future’s commitment to supporting emerging artists, encouraging cultural exchange, and building connections through art.
Held at Carlmont Dental Care in Belmont, the event brought together a community of artists and featured beautiful pieces, many of which were contributed by students from Color Dot Art Studio. Through the collective effort and generosity of attendees, we raised a total of $2,281, which was donated to St. Anthony Church in Wailuku, Hawaii. The funds went directly towards the Maui disaster relief to aid those affected by the wildfire.
